Begun in collaboration with the artist in 1992 when he was still alive, this beautiful survery of David Wojnarowicz’s painting & photography features many interviews from friends, colleagues, and even the lawyer who represented him in his case against the American Family League. It was released in 1994, after he died of AIDS. The book is a poignant memorial & a testament to his unflinching activism, even in his final days. It has since been revised and expanded; this is its first iteration.
